The Perry County Prosecutor brings formal charges against three of the five New Lexington residents arrested last week in two seperate drug busts.
The Perry County Prosecutor’s Office says that 56-year-old Joseph Westwood is charged with a fifth degree felony of permitting drug abuse. He has a hearing scheduled for March 23rd. 27-year-old Shelia and 29-year-old Jason Ratliff both face a felony count of trafficking in heroin.
Two others involved in the case Vickie Westwood and Samantha Bradley were booked and released from jail and will be arraigned at a later.
Perry County Sheriff’s Sgt. Kevin Starrett says all five were arrested after a three month investigation into the trafficking in heroin at two New Lexington homes.
