The Superintendent of East Muskingum Schools says he is resigning,
James Heagen says his last day with the district will be May 31st.
Heagen has been with East Muskingum Schools since 2002 where he held the position of Assistant Superintendent. Then in 2005 he became Superintendent of the District.
Heagen says he will be starting a new job June 1st in Columbus with the Ohio Public Employee Deferred Compensation Program.
The Board will meet next Thursday to discuss plans to replace Heagen.
