Some Muskingum County residents are without power Friday afternoon.
American Electric Power says there was a circuit knocked out of service around 11:30 am.
The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says a semi tractor trailor hit some low hanging power lines on Moxadarala Road and broke a power pole. Troopers say the truck had taken an alternate route to avoid an accident on the Maysville Pike.
AEP says 1,683 customers in the southern end of the county are without service. Power is expected to be restored by 3:00 pm.
