Longaberger Employee Cut Called Seasonal

The Longaberger Company has laid off some employees. Spokesman Russell Mack would not release the actual number but did confirm that there was a seasonal furlough of manufacturing employees. On January 5th of last year Longaberger laid off 95 employees citing that the first quarter is always the slowest selling season for the company. Mack says Monday’s layoff represents a small percent of the work force. At last report Longaberger had 886 employeees.
