Older adults at the Center for Seniors got informative lesson on the Medicaid Estate Recovery program today. For people 55 years or older Medicaid offers better coverage than any private insurance. But some of what goes into care must come out, and seniors are weary about how the estate recovery process works.
The Attorney General's office is responsible for presenting claims to the estate' executor to recover some of the money that Medicaid paid for the deceased care. For more information on this subject call 614-466-4510. The session was part of a senior retreat whose mission is to keep older adults prepared, protected and informed.
