For the second time around voters in Cambridge have rejected a 2.9 mill levy for the Cambridge City Schools. The permenet improvement levy for five years was defeated by the unoffical count of; 915 yes votes, and 1,058 no votes. The money was earmarked for textbooks, transportation, and technology. The administration said that this is a sad day for Cambridge City Schools. The levy was a renewal and the money expiries in Janurary. The plan to put the issue back on the ballot will have to be a decision made by the school board.
