The results are in from Tuesday's primary elections in Ohio. In our area the Cambridge City Schools levy went down to defeat by a vote count of 1058-no...915-yes. In Coshocton county three levies were on the ballot..a 4.9 mill levy for Coshocton city schools passed...the River View schools issue also apparenlty passed, although some votes from a licking county have yet to be added to the final....and a road improvements measure for Crawford township failed by one vote. In Licking county a levy for the Licking County Joint Vocational School failed...as did an issue for Newark city schools. Another school levy in Licking County also failed...that was for Lakewood Local Schools. A fourth issue for Children's Services also went down to defeat. In the Republican Primary for Newark City Council...Doug Marmie beat Beth Hollar Yocum for the right to run in November. In Perry County...All three current expense renewal levies passed....In Coal township voters also said yes to a current expense issue.
