Congressman Bob Ney of Ohio’s 18th District made a stop in Zanesville. He came to speak to Roosevelt Middle School students and the Rotary. He traveled by automobile and like the rest of the country he’s paying the high gas prices too. With prices up around 2 dollars a gallon, Congressman Ney agrees that something has to be done to give consumer’s relief. He said, “I think the leadership in Congress needs to give the proper authority and tell the big oil companies that this is price gouging. No one can tell me that it goes up 22 cents in a day and that’s the market.” Ney also said adopting an energy policy is the key to helping the gas prices in the long run. At his stop in Zanesville Congressman Ney helped to recognize students who participated in the mission of excellence program.
