Muskingum County Sheriffs have more details about yesterday’s shooting on Old Adamsville Rd. Muskingum County Sheriffs are reporting that motives for the shooting could be theft or drug related. The shooting happened about 3 a.m. Two cars were driving eastbound on Old Adamsville Road when multiple shots from the first car were fired at the second car. The driver of the second car, 22-year-old, Earl Crothers of Newark, was shot in the face. Crothers turned his vehicle around and managed to get away from the other car and call 911 at a nearby residence. He is in stable condition at Good Samaritan Hospital and has declined to give any information on the shooting at this time.
