The village of Thornville is getting a new library and hundreds from the community were on hand to participate in a ceremonial passing of the books. Thornville Elementary School students, the lions club, and the community were stretched out from the old library to the new library. They passed children’s books in a bucket brigade fashion. The new library will be a larger facility that includes Internet use. More parking and bathroom facilities are available. There is also a drive-up book drop for patrons. The doors will open on June 4th and the following evening on June 5th at 3pm the library will hold the first family program, that kicks off summer reading.
