Superstitious things such as walking under ladders, full moons and black cats, don’t phase Dale Tysinger. He’s been testing Friday the 13th fate since the 1950s when he began the Friday the 13th Club. At the start of the Club, Tysinger was the manager at the Zanesville downtown theatres – he used the Friday the 13th to bring a little luck to the community. He said all the stores in downtown Zanesville would have sales and sell merchandise for prices that ended in 13. Tysinger said now the Club meets once a year. He said he’s broken mirrors and walked under ladders, but he’s never had any bad luck.
