Morgan County's largest employer is changing hands, but the owners say the sale shouldn't result in the loss of any jobs. Federal-Mogul Corporation says the company plans to sell its plant in McConnelsville to an Austrian Company, MIBA A-G. It would be the 2nd change in ownership for the plant in 3-years. The plant, north of McConnelsville, employs about 270, and makes bearings for the locomotive industry and other uses. Morgan County's Economic Development Director Jeff Shaner, says it's his understanding that jobs at Federal-Mogul are secure. Company Vice President Kim Welch says the plant has been successful, and its future is good. That's good for Morgan County in Southeast Ohio, which has the state's highest unemployment rate at 15.2 %.
