There were off and on storms throughout our viewing area on Wednesday and those storms left a lot of people in the dark. American Electric power says service was out to 12-hundred customers. AEP’s Carmen Prati says the areas affected are in the Maysville Pike and Pine Street areas, and some customers south of I-70. A girl bike-riding saw lines go down, when a huge tree crashed onto the porch of a home on Liberty Avenue. The tree limbs that knocked down power lines caused most of the outages. Those downed lines are dangerous, and AEP warns homeowners against taking care of the power lines themselves. There are 25 different power line locations effected, and it will take until midnight to get things back to normal.
