The face of downtown Zanesville is set to be reconstructed once again. The buildings at the corner of 5th and Main Street will soon be torn down. The three structures stand from the edge of the park to the alleyway. They are owned by Century National Bank, and will be removed to make a new entrance. They have owned the buildings for a number of years and the city’s design and review board has recently given approval. Bank officials hop the project will improve the look of downtown. Century National Bank said construction should start within the next six months, they are waiting for formal approval from the state.
