The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office says a hike through the woods turned deadly. A dead body found in a creek bed. It was discovered Wednesday afternoon around 4 o-clock. The victim was found on the south side of East elementary school. A preliminary investigation indicates that he was traveling through a wooded area, came to a rock ledge, and fell 14 feet head first into a creek bed. Due to the condition of the body, it appears the victim fell several days ago. Meantime, the body has been sent to the Licking County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. And investigating agencies are waiting for the autopsy results before a positive identification can be made.
