Teenager To Be Tried As Adult

A 15-year-old Noble county boy accused of fatally shooting a Byesville man will be tried as an adult. Noble County Juvenile Court Judge John Nau Saturday bound the case over the Common Pleas Court. Nau, who presides over both courts, will hear the case. The boy is charged with aggravated murder. He's Scheduled to appear again in court September 26th. Authorities say the boy took a handgun from his parent's house Wednesday and went for a joyride in the family car. He then lost control of the vehicle, hit an embankment and flipped. Noble County Sheriff Landon Smith says 38-year-old Todd Morrison was visiting his father's grave near the crash site. He says Morrison came over to help the teenager, who then pulled a gun and shot Morrison in the head.
