Like many other industries in our nation, the music world went through some changes after the attacks on September 11th. To show their patriotism, Americans rushed out to buy items that reflect pride in America, including music. FYE a music store located in Colony Square Mall, has seen an increase in sales for patriotic music done by artist such as Lee Greenwood. Local FM radio station Z102 is meeting the needs of their listeners by playing more patriotic music. They have also reassessed their play list to make sure that the music is not offensive during this time of crisis. Also Whitney Houston's version of the Star Spangled Banner, which was performed live at the 1991 Superbowl, has been re-released on a limited basis.
