Perry County Sheriff's deputies and dispatchers who lost their jobs or who were reassigned earlier this year will be heading back to work. In his decision to the Perry County Commissioners, independent arbitrator Louis Imundo Jr. said that 16 deputies and dispatchers should be reinstaed to their original positions. The department laid-off the employees back in April because of insufficient funding. However, both the Sheriff's offie and County Commissioners have claimed that neither of the offices have the money to reinstate the employees. Sheriff Barker has estimates that it will take approximately a half-million dollars to bring the employees back.
