After several hours of deliberations on Thursday afternoon, a Muskingum County woman who shot her live-in boyfriend last week was indicted by the grand jury. 35-year old Dawn E. Martin of Newark was charged with one count of voluntary manslaughter with a gun specification and one count of unlawful possession of dangerous ordinance. Martin was arrested last week for shooting 63-year old James M. Breneman Jr. of 19111 McCormick Road. She told police that she had shot Breneman after he beat her. Martin could face up to 14 yars in prison if convicted on all three charges.
