The Zanesville School District moved one step closer to ensuring the continuing education of their students. The school board held a special meeting and selected a plan that calls for the building of five new elementary schools, two new middle schools, and a new high school. The board said when choosing whether to build one or two middle schools, they choose two with the best intrest of the students in mind. The sites where the new buildings will be constructed and the review of the land is next on the agenda, and also when to build. But before any work can take place, the residents of Zanesville must give their approval. The total cost of the project is around 92 million dollars, with 29 million being picked up by taxpayers.
