They’re halfway there, and expecting to reach their goal of 1.2 million dollars for the 2001-2002 Annual Campaign, The United Way held a breakfast to recognize those who have contributed. Local businesses, non-profit organizations and other “community heroes” gathered to find that the campaign is on its way to success. They are at $615,000 at the moment and they are hoping to get more contributions by December. Twenty-one agencies benefit from The United Way and over 100 organizations were supported last year from the Annual Campaign. This year there were 125 members of the business community in attendance at their breakfast. It was held at The Welcome Center from 7:30 to 9:30am, and Genesis Healthcare System and Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce sponsored it free.
