The Licking county sheriff's office is investigating a fatal accident. It happened Sunday around 6pm on Christland Hills road off of state route 13. Deputies say
a 1987 blue Dodge pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Richard Engle of Buckeye Lake went off the right side of the road and hit a creek bed. Engle was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say alcohol and speed may have been a factor in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
