The deer population is booming in our county, and that is attracting hunters statewide throughout the week during gun season. Which makes things a bit better for business owners in the area. Gas stations, restaurants, hotels and other local businesses will be benefiting from the flow of hunters. The week long sporting event will bring in hunters from northeastern Ohio, as well as those from out of state. Ohio has a good reputation as being known for the heavy deer population and Muskingum county is a destination many hunters set their sights on for deer gun season. With the economy in its current condition, the business brought in by the deer season comes at a good time to help out the community and the economy of the area.
