Work to replace the failing Blandy Reservoir may interfere with your travel plans. A section of State Route 666 will be closed to allow for the installation of a new water main valve. The work starts on Monday and the city hopes to have the construction complete by Wednesday evening. But until then, State Route 666 will be closed from Hall Avenue to Buckeye Drive. The installation of the pipe will aid in the 1-year project to upgrade the reservoir. The city is putting two 1 million-gallon tanks behind the current water plant.
