Volunteers for the Salvation Army's annual Angel Tree Project have a lot to smile about this Christmas holiday. After a very slow start, the community responded with an overwhelming display of human kindness. In just one week, the organization collected over 2,000 toys for the area's children. Although Saturday, December 15th was the last day for the Angel Tree at the mall, you can drop off toys at the Salvation Army located at 515 Putnam Avenue through this coming Thursday. The project has collected approximately 4,000 toys.
