The city of Zanesville has worked with other communities and groups to make things happen. Mayor Fenton is most proud of the J.E.D agreement or joint economical development – where three communities combined to increase growth. The result is a brand new Pick-N-Save that Springfield Township, South Zanesville, and Zanesville all benefit from. The city also worked with an out-of-town group in the work camps and the state in the million dollar-housing grant that fixed up a total of 150 houses. Other accomplishments that the city had this year was laying the groundwork for the Greenwood project, completing phase one of the downtown revitalization project, starting construction on two water tanks on Mitchell Hill and the 146 to 60 connector road.
