The Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Zanesville has started two new programs that help teenagers and young adults share their youthful experiences through friendship. A high school big or First Mentors – for college students – matches a little brothers or sisters up with a big to be that child’s special friend or role model.
The agency is in need of volunteers. They recently held a “Big Rush” contest and Angela Stevens won for recruiting 5 new Bigs. But there are still over 50 kids who are looking to be matched-up.
For more information on becoming a “Big” in a young person’s life, call 453 – 7300. Big brothers Big sisters is an agency of United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties.
