It’s been an ongoing project for over a year now, and the Muskingum county commissioners are hoping to put the plan into action. The Gaysport area has been in need of a water system for some time, now things are gradually coming together. The area has been surveyed for project feasibility, and the residents of the area have approved. County Commissioners are preparing for the project bids to come in. The Commissioners are looking for the bids to be opened by the end of February and then they can be sent to the OWDA in Columbus to acquire loan money for the project. Petitions from the Gaysport area residents is what prompted the project. If the bid applications are not submitted to the OWDA by the end of February, the date will then be pushed back to the end of March. Over 100 people will be affected by the water project in the Gaysport area.
