People from Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky and all over the state of Ohio were in town this weekend to attend the annual pottery sale. The Welcome Center in downtown Zanesville featured vendors from all over the are who provided a wide array of pottery. Although pottery is the hottest item in this area, the most wanted item was barn bank commissioned by Nelson and Billie McCoy. The barn bank, which is emblazoned with the bicentennial logo, was sold by Buckeye Stoneware for about 24 dollars a piece, this was one masterpiece that people were willing to wait in line for. Approximately 10 dollars from each barn sold will go to the Ohio Bicentennial Commission to help pay for next year's celebration.
