Indulging in a sweet pastry right before Lent, is a polish tradition that goes back 400 years. Pick N’ Save stores have brought back Paczki, a sweet treat that the bakery makes from scratch. Polish people would gather up all the ingredients they had in the kitchen, and bake the sweet treats to indulge in eating prior to beginning to fast for lent. This year’s availability is February 6th through 13th and every Friday throughout Lent that ends with Good Friday, March 29th.
