The Republican party in Muskingum County joined together Thursday night to prepare for this year's upcoming elections. Each year during their annual "Lincoln Day Dinner", card carrying republicans are introduced to candidates of the past and present. Area republicans also had the chance to meet with main speaker Lt. Gov. Maureen O'Connor who is seeking to fill a vacant spot on the Ohio Supreme Court. Lt. Gov. O'Connor officialy announced her candidacy for the vacancy left by Justice Andrew Douglas last week. Justice Douglas was forced to retire due to age constraints.
