A mediator appointed by the Ohio Supreme Court to settle the state's decade-old school funding lawsuit has resumed the talks after a break. Madison, Wisconsin-based mediator Howard Bellman says he held meetings over three days this week with attorneys for the state as well as representatives of Governor Taft, the House and the Senate.
Bellman says he plans more meetings next week with the state.
He says he's spoken by phone with the representatives of the coalition of schools that sued Ohio over the way it pays for education. Bellman has until March 21st to issue a final report on the talks.
