The project to repair the deteriorating walls of the Muskingum County Home is getting underway. Two weeks ago, some bricks fell from the building because of the aging conditions, and the county commissioners have been reviewing their options. The commissioners have contacted a structural engineer to come and look at the damage and give some advice as to what needs to be done to make repairs. Right now, the decaying wall is protected by scaffolding until officials can decide what can be done to the structure. Commissioner Don Madden says that the building currently poses no danger to residents who live at the home.
