Let the games begin. Although the Olympics have come to an end, students at Rufus Putnam Elementary School are holding their own winter games at the Singer Center gymnasium. The 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes made flags for each country and cheered their classmates on as the events took place. Everything from speed skating, and bobsledding to hockey and even basketball is included in the line-up of events that the kids were emulating from the games in Salt Lake. The students got involved by making signs, waving flags, and one student even made a special t-shirt with the Olympic logo printed on the front. Rufus Putnam students have also participated in their own version of the summer Olympics as well.
