The frosty nip in the air didn’t keep local “fools” off the roof this morning, to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. The April Fools fundraiser held at the Zanesville Wal-Mart was in full swing today with over thirty people on the rooftop and lots of generous donations going toward the relay for life. Since 7am each persons goal was to raise $500 and by ten o’clock contributors had pitched in about $7,300. Genesis Healthcare and the Muskingum County American Cancer Society is hopeful that this success can continue into next year’s fundraiser. Phone donations for the day were taken courtesy of Omni Communications.
