If you haven't been to your local library in a while, you may want to stop in an check out some new policies that are going into effect this weekend. Sunday starts National Library Week, and to kick-off the celebration, the John McIntyre Library is making changes. Under the new policy, fiction videos and D-V-D's can be borrowed for 7-days, magazines, new adult fiction, pamphlets, CD Roms and "books on tape" for 14 days. All other items can be borrowed for 28 days. Tom says this will also play a major role in meeting the library's 800-thousand item circulation goal for 2002.
