Heath fire officials say a fire at the former Kaiser Aluminum office building Wednesday started in the basement and burned too hot and fast for firefighters to get inside. Captain Bob Kozlowski says firefighters were dispatched to the site around 4-30 in the morning. The Licking County Port Authority had recently bought the building and was working to remove asbestos from it, but it wasn't being used. The fire did not cause any problems for the nearby Kaiser plant. No injuries were reported.
