The cooler weather didn’t stop car fanatics, as the “Reason for Hope” Car Show and Benefit Auction kicked off earlier today. The Dresden community came out to enjoy the showcased and restored coupes as well as join the fight against a fatal disease. In support of ALS-other wise known as Lou Gherig’s disease, Kermit Sheets wants to make this disease known to others who are unfamiliar with it, as well as raise money for the research and for his son Mark who is suffering with the illness. The proceeds collected through today’s event will be split down the middle with fifty percent going towards research of the disease and the other half towards Mark. Kermit is currently making plans for another benefit car show in Zanesville that is set for June 29th.
