Alcohol Not a Factor in Fatal Crash

Alcohol was not a factor in an early morning crash, which claimed the life of a woman.
The accident happened just before 2 a.m. on State Route 821 in Noble County.
According to the Noble County Sheriff's Office, 32-year-old Kerry Walters of Belle Valley was driving eastbound on State Route 340, when she failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a stone embankment as she crossed 821.
Emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to free Walters, However, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
