Trooper Assulted - Suspect Arrested In Guernsey County

A man from the Ukraine is accused of assaulting a State Highway Patrol Trooper. Eduard Ryumshin is charged with felonious assault, tampering with government documents, forgery, possession of criminal tools and resisting arrest. His arraignment is set for Monday in Canton Municipal court. He was arrested after driving on Interstate 77 in Guernsey county shortly after an attack Friday in a driver's license station in Canton. The patrol
said the 34-year-old Ryumshin, of Kiev, matched the description of the man who sprayed the face of trooper Rayetta Calhoun. A container holding a chemical substance used in the assult was found inside his car. Calhoun was called to a driver's exam station about a man who presented a fraudulent social security card while trying to obtain an Ohio identifcation card.
