A Nashport man is dead after a fatal accident on state route 60 north just before 8:30 Monday night. The Zanesville Highway Patrol says it involved three vehicles and happened three miles north of Zanesville. 46-year-old Timothy Brown, who was riding a motorcycle, was killed in the crash. Troopers say Brown was traveling north on 60 and two other vehicles were traveling south on 60. Investigators say 39-year-old Anthony Rose Jr. of Zanesville
slowed to turn into a private drive, while 56-year-old John Fitch, also of Zanesville, swerved to avoid Rose and slammed into the oncoming motorcycle. Troopers says Brown was thrown almost 100 feet after impact. Troopers say he was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other serious injuries were reported. The accident remains under investigation.
