An accomplished painter, poet, teacher, and author died at the age of 91. Dr. Charles Dietz one of the founders of the new Zanesville Art Center, was remembered as a peaceful and intellectual man. Today, a long time friend of Dietz reflected on his loving nature of art and people. Esther Dix said, "he thought positive and made people feel so special." Dietz was a simple man, who didn't want people to fuss over his death. In Dietz's will he wanted no viewings or ceremonies, but he asked people to donate to the Ronna Bucci/ Charles Dietz Memorial Scholarship fund, to help future artists with their studies.
