The Eastside Community Ministry is luanching a new program called Faith in Action with a $35,000 grant received from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The program will aid elderly who need help with everyday activities such as picking groceries and going to the doctor through the help of volunteers.
With many elderly poeple not able to complete simple tasks by themselves, volunteers will assist them with these activities, and also give the elderly someone who cares about their welfare.
