Dairy Mart Robbery Investigated

Zanesville police are investigating an early morning robbery at the Dairy Mart on Linden avenue in Zanesville. It happened on Wednesday. Detective Ric Roush says the suspect entered the store just before 5 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk. The robber stole around 100 dollars and then fled on foot towards Forest avenue. The suspect was wearing a black toboggin with holes cut out for the eyes. He is described as five-feet seven inches tall and weighing between 160 and 185 pounds. He has shoulder length, dark curly hair and was wearing a blue sweater, and blue jeans. The suspect was also described as holding an object under the sweater, but the store clerk did not see a gun. Anyone with information aobut the incident is asked to call detective Roush at the Zanesville Police Department. The number is 740 455-0700.
