Pens, pencils, notebooks and lunch boxes adorn the aisles of many local stores. But many parents grow weary in the labyrinth of notebook aisles and backpack displays. To minimize confusion, some local stores assembled supply lists for each grade level at nearby schools. Zanesville Wal-Mart manager Steve Wingo says stores touch base with educators and school administrators and lists are compiled. Parents can pick up those lists at customer service centers in many area stores. Merchants say they're aware it's hard to get back into the groove, but parents will groove into the new school year a little easier once they check off all the items on the available supply lists before other students clear the shelves.
