Zanesville Residents Accused In Boat Theft Ring

The Ohio Department of Natural resources says its busted up a boat theft ring with a Zanesville connection. O-D-N-R reports that six people including three family members from Zanesville were indicted by a Franklin county grand jury in a multi-state boat theft investigation that started in April of 2001. Indicted on felony counts of receiving stolen property and obstructing justice are 51-year-old Donald Krouskoupf and his wife 42-year-old Stacey Krouskoupf, both of Zanesville. They are accused of the alleged theft of a 1996 23 foot Baja powerboat. Another Zanesville man, 52-year-old Conrad Krouskoupf was also indicted on felony counts of receiving stolen property, involving the alleged theft of a 30-foot houseboat. Two other local men were indicted with felony counts of receiving stolen property...55-year-old Bill Pletcher of Zanesville and 38-year-old Larry Black of Somerset. Arraignments for those who were indicted are expected in Franklin county common pleas court in the near future.
