The water line is fixed, but that does not mean Zanesville area water customers are in the clear. City officials say there is still a serious water shortage and residents are not allowed to water their lawns, wash their cars or do large amounts of laundry until further notice. Zanesville public service officials today issued an updated list of who still needs to boil their water. If you live on a street east of Underwood, if you live on the north and west ends of Zanesville or live on the south end of town, or west of Woodlawn avenue south of town, you must still boil your water for two minutes before consuming. Those areas are the only ones left on the boil advisory. A water main break on Thursday on Iron street is the reason for the boil advisory. It remains in effect until further notice.
