NAACP Registers Voters

The National Association for the Advacement of Colored People-Muskingum Chapter held thier "Lift Every Voice and Vote" campaign today at the Unizan Bank parking lot. Kenneth Burke, the president of the local chapter says there has never been a big push to get African-American people registered to vote. He say's the national goal of the NAACP this year in to enlist 70-thousand more black voters in Ohio and 700-thousand nationwide.
