Wet road conditions led to many fender-benders across Southeastern Ohio. One serious car collision sent a Thornville man to the hospital. Around twelve this afternoon state troopers say a Progressive Auto Insurance S-U-V hydroplaned, sideswiping a Honda S-U-V on Route 22 near Thompson Run Road. The Honda went over an embankment and the driver, 42-year old Carl James, was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital with back injuries. The driver of the Progressive Auto Insurance vehicle was cited for failure to control her vehicle, and yes, troopers say she did have car insurance.
