While we're focused on fighting the was on terrorism, many Americans forget to thank the men and women who have fought in previous foreign wars. Saturday evening the VFW Post 1058 held a special ceremony to honor these soldiers who lost thier lives in battle, or who have not returned to the USA. According to Berney Harmon, VFW Commander, we should thank our veterans everyday, and honor those who lost their lives fighting to keep us safe. A once-a-year event, the service included a candel-lighting ceremony, rifle shots, and a playing of taps. About 200 people attened Saturday evening's event.
